Kaze and Akiko, twins separated shortly after birth due to an attack on Crystal Tokyo by an (then) unknown enemy. Kaze was raised by Luna and Artemis while Akiko was was raised by Haruka and Michiru. The twins were kept apart and unaware of each others existence until one showed the power of the White Moon.

While Kaze was blissfully unaware of his destiny, Akiko was trained by the Outers to be ready in case she is needed. She feels that Kaze should not be the one the Silver Crystal chose, but still wants to protect him at all costs, not just because he's the prince, but because he's her brother.
